A candlestick born from a joint project with the Takaoka Chamber of Commerce. Focusing on candlesticks from among the three-legged statues of incense burners, candlesticks, and flower arrangements, we planned and produced a “candlestick as tableware” with a company in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, which has developed as a production base for Buddhist utensils. The minimum shape designed to be easily incorporated into the modern life style is machined by cutting a brass round bar of standard dimensions with an NC lathe. The upper, middle, and lower parts are threaded with high precision, making it easy to disassemble and assemble. In addition, by combining the color technology of copperware that Takaoka is proud of, many variations can be developed depending on the combination of parts.
